Two vulnerable actresses and the perfectionist director of a movie get into a series of misunderstandings. Their issues are looking more and more like those of the film plot. When resolved, a great performance ensues, which impacts their personal lives.

When a middle-class couple, Paras and Aankhi, welcome their new born, they are initially overjoyed. However, their happiness is short-lived as they discover that their child is intersex. As they struggle to come to terms with this unexpected reality, their journey takes a heart-wrenching turn. Aankhi, the mother, tries to navigate her emotions and accept their child unconditionally. However, Paras, the father and an insurance agent, is consumed by societal pressure and denial. He grapples with the stigma surrounding intersex children and begins to distance himself from his family. Will Aankhi 's love and acceptance be enough to bring Paras back from the brink of collapse? Can the couple find a way to embrace their child&'s uniqueness and overcome the societal barriers that threaten to tear them apart?

Whispers of the Mountains. Director Jigar Nagda / Mewari

In the rugged Aravali hills of Rajasthan, Tilak, a 40-year-old tea stall owner, struggles to survive after losing his wife. His 12-year-old son, Ragu, mute yet deeply sensitive, shares an unspoken bond with the mountains that cradle their home. While Tilak sees relentless mining as a path to economic relief, Ragu silently mourns the vanishing hills. When Ragu earns a scholarship to a special city school, Tilak forbids him from going, fearing loneliness and losing his only help. Their relationship strains further when Tilak is diagnosed with silicosis, a mining-induced lung disease. Now dependent on Ragu to run the stall, Tilakâ€™s dreams fade as Ragu shoulders responsibility far beyond his years. Amid the harshness, Ragu finds quiet rebellion: planting saplings across the ravaged land, nurturing hope that one day the mountains might breathe again and so might they.

Baksho Bondi. Director Tanushree Das & Saumyananda Sahi/ Bengali

Maya lives with her husband, Sundar, and their teenage son, Debu, in a bustling suburb of Kolkata. She works multiple jobs: cleaning houses, working on a chicken farm and ironing laundry. Sundar, a retired soldier suffering from PTSD, is ridiculed by the neighbourhood. Debu, often left to care for his father, is torn between embarrassment and affection. Maya rebelled against her own family to marry Sundar, an outsider, so now finds little sympathy when times are hard. Maya tries to help Sundar get a job, but he resists. Late one night Maya wakes to find Sundar gone. Maya discovers that Sundar is now a suspect in a murder investigation and a search ensues. When Sundar returns to Maya in secret a few days later, terrified and hungry, their relationship and the family balance are put to the greatest test.

Romantic Affairs. Director Monjul Baruah / Assamese

In this coming-of-age film, the lead character, a young girl, representing all girls of her age, moves through the tumultuous teenage years filled with choices and experiences that shape her identity. As she seeks to understand her physical and psychological needs, she embarks on a journey of selfdiscoveryâ€”a journey of discovering "me"â€”that leads her down misguided paths. Her yearning for freedom becomes a metaphorical cage, trapping her and affecting those around her, including her parents, friends, and other individuals who try to save her. This unravels relationships and reputations along the way. The story explores themes of desire, reputation, and the complexities of growing up, ultimately highlighting the turmoil that can arise from the quest for self-exploration.

NADHARERBHELA. Director Pradipta Bhattacharya /Bengali

The film revolves around a 'Slow Man', a simple village-born who is said to move slower than a sloth, and his brief time as a performer in a rural travelling circus. The story weaves through a network of human relationships and sensations and their myriad unintended but inevitable variations. The mundane everyday lives of these circus performers are interrupted from time to time by certain unusual occurrences as well - stemming from greed, cruelty and lust. And yet a formless kind of love remains alongside. Suddenly at odds with the speed and complexity of the world around him, the Slow Man finds himself yearning for those remaining tender caring spaces, be it social or psychological, that lie hidden beyond the straight and harsh truths of life, never pausing to consider the tragic consequences. The tale of the goddess Manasa and Behula's banana stem raft, an ancient popular ballad of Bengal, is an intrinsic part of this story that imbues 'The Slow Man and His Raft' with a sense of drama and tragedy.

Jagan

In a Vaishnav community nestled in rural India, “Jagan” is a vibrant portrayal of an extraordinary man residing with his old, widowed mother and striving younger brother. Branded as a ‘ madman’ in his neighbourhood, Jagan's world revolves around his deep affection for Harinaam Sankirtan, a devotional musical tradition of the Vaishnavas, and his remarkable resilience in the face of everyday challenges. However, his life takes a tumultuous turn when his closest confidant and elderly neighbour, Biren Das, passes away, plunging Jagan into unforeseen difficulties.
